Jack River Shares Video For “Adolescent”

After sharing her glistening 90’s rock inspired new track “Adolescent” last month, and in her own words “a song for all the girls and boys sick of shallow love and the culture that celebrates it”, Jack River has just released an outrageously fun video for it.

WATCH (AND SHARE) HERE:

Directed by long-time Jack River video collaborator Matt Sav, who’s also worked artists such as Tame Impala, POND and Methyl Ethel, the song “Adolescent’” is a boycott to conventional pop subject matter, questioning youth’s age-old obsession with love and lust. Calling out the façade of social media culture’s infatuation with aesthetics, this is a song for all the boys and girls chasing something deeper and grittier, something with meaning.

“Adolescent” is taken from Jack River’s upcoming deluxe version of her debut studio album, Sugar Mountain and offers a unique sparkle to River’s glowing catalogue. As well as featuring the new single, the deluxe album will also include acoustic versions of two previous singles, along with a special cover from the album title inspiration; Neil Young’s ‘Sugar Mountain’. The deluxe version will be released via Nettwerk Records on May 31st.
