Indie-rock Duo Vacation Manor Announces New EP ‘Back To Town’ Out May 16; Release New Single “Damage Is Done”
February 21, 2025 BY Emma Orland
Today, Virginia indie-rock duo Vacation Manor announce their new EP Back To Town out May 16th via Nettwerk. Self-produced by Nathan Towles [guitar, vocals] and Cole Young [drums] over the past two years, the band created six songs highlighting “different landmarks” in their shared and individual experiences. To celebrate, they have dropped their latest single, “Damage Is Done,” a sweet message to Nathan’s spouse promising, “I’m not going anywhere.” Pre-save the EP HERE and listen to the single HERE.
“We just celebrated 10 years of the band, which was so much fun,” says Cole. “It’s been really special to stand back for a second and realize how much this band has been a catalyst for so many close friendships and broader community,” he says.
“I wanted to make a song for my wife for when she feels worried,” Nathan adds about “Damage Is Done.” “The first instinct is to say, ‘It’s going to be okay, we’re going to get through this.’ My favorite phrase on the record is, ‘I’ll be here until the damage is done’. It says something profound in such a plain way.”
“Damage Is Done” is Vacation Manor’s latest single off their forthcoming EP Back To Town, following “January (Over & Over),” a track about navigating insecurities, and “Back To Town,” a breezy, softly strummed tune about the emotional return home.
