Indie Folk Duo Ocie Elliott Announce Upcoming EP ‘Know The Night’ Out Nov 24

August 18, 2023 BY Bailey Vigliaturo

Beloved indie folk duo Ocie Elliott will release their new EP Know The Night on November 24th. The follow up to their emotionally heavy and heartfelt What Remains EP, Know The Night explores themes of the lightness and darkness that lives within each of us, the inner battle between the two, and one’s ability to choose to see things from a difference perspective to find the joy in life.   Lead single “Free” coasts along breezy guitar as breathy harmonies instantly transfix. “’Free’ is about the feeling of bliss and clear-headedness that comes with a certain state of mind,” they say. “It’s those moments in life where you’re relaxed yet alsoexcited and recognize akind ofinfinite potential.”

Ocie Elliott (Jon Middleton and Sierra Lundy) recently announced a headline fall tour that takes them across the U.S., with the first leg starting in Seattle, WA on October 26 and wrapping in Northampton, MA on November 19th with a short break at the end of the year before landing in Dallas, TX on January 17th. ABOUT OCIE ELLIOTT:

Ocie Elliott pen tunes that feel lived-in. You can hear their memories, experiences, and emotions in the dusty acoustic guitars, the sparse production, and the graceful harmonies between Jon Middleton and Sierra Lundy. The Victoria, B.C.-based duo initially emerged with EP in 2017. Since then, they have amassed hundreds of millions of streams and have seen their songs featured multiple times in Grey’s Anatomy, in addition to sync placements on New Amsterdam, NETFLIX’s Sweet Magnolias, and more. Along the way, Ocie Elliott packed countless headline shows and shared stages with Joshua Radin, Sons of The East, Kim Churchill, and Hollow Coves. During 2022, they garnered a nomination at the JUNO Awards in the category of “Breakthrough Artist of the Year,” marking their first nod.
