INDIE-DISCO DUO NEIL FRANCES TAP DREAMCASTMOE FOR DANCE FLOOR READY NEW SINGLE “SHE’S JUST THE TYPE OF GIRL”

Los Angeles duo Neil Frances’ (Jordan Feller and Marc Gilfry) return with their funky new earworm, “She’s Just The Type Of Girl,” featuring dreamcastmoe. It is their first new track since their debut album, There Is No Neil Frances, came out earlier this year.

Jordan explains, “We’ve both been fans of Dreamcastmoe for a few years. We added a couple songs of his to our Spotify playlist, and we ended up connecting over IG. We kept in touch and had him open for us at our show in DC in February. Fast forward a few months, and he stayed at my spot in LA for a week over the summer. We worked on a ton of music together while he was here. The first song we did together was ‘She’s Just The Type of Girl.’ I slowed the sample way down and had him record his vocals at a much slower bpm. The track sounded cool like that, but I missed the uptempo feel, so I decided to speed the whole thing back up again. This had a sick pitch effect on his vocals which we both loved. Marc comes in sounding like a glorified choir boy for verse 2, and we found ourselves with a banger on our hands!”

Putting special emphasis on their enthralling live sets and preferring to perform with a multi-piece band, the group has developed a reputation as a must-see stage artist. They kicked off the year with a sold-out headlining U.S. tour and spent the summer performing at countless festivals, including Electric Forest, Life Is Beautiful, Firefly, Austin City Limits, Portola & more. They capped the season opening for Louis The Child at Red Rocks Amphitheater and for Jungle in Mexico City earlier this week. A full list of dates is below.

The debut album, There Is No Neil Frances was recorded by the duo in their Echo Park studio earlier this year and featured collaborations with Grae and Benny Sings.  Their 2021 EP, Stay Strong Play Long, featured collaborations with Poolside and Raffaella and included their cover of “Music Sounds Better With You,” which has amassed over 100 million streams.
