Icelandic Singer-Songwriter Returns with New Single “When The Sun Goes Down”

November 10, 2023 BY Emma Orland

Icelandic singer-songwriter Axel Flóvent returns with a new single today titled ‘When the Sun Goes Down’, his first brand new material since last year’s collaborative EP Coexist.

A beautifully poignant track featuring warm synths and keys wrapped around a sparse beat as his earnest vocals hover towards an undeniable and uplifting refrain topped off with a hypnotic melody.

“’When the Sun Goes Down’ is about finding your confidence and having that strong feeling in your heart that at the end of the day you got it, you’ve got what it takes,” Flóvent says. “Doesn’t matter that there are obstacles in the way, just accepting that there are obstacles in the way.”
