Australian indie folk duo Hollow Coves (Ryan Henderson and Matt Carins) have announced their new EP, Blessings, will be released on June 11, 2021. They share the news with a new single called “Hello” and an accompanying live performance video. Through their trademark harmonies and acoustic guitar melodies, the band explore the mundane day-to-day life of being stuck inside for a year, the yearning for human connection and the mental toll it all takes.

The majority of the songs on the Blessings EP were written during the Covid-19 lockdown and recorded and self-produced at the band’s newly built home studio on Australia’s Gold Coast. The band previously shared the single “Lonely Nights” featuring US folk singer/songwriter Priscilla Ahn. The song was accompanied by a music video that was shot on 16MM Bolex in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, a gorgeous and quiet fishing village turned premier surfing destination that has been home to the Olympus National Surfing Circuit Competition. Hollow Coves released their debut full-length album Moments in 2019 to critical acclaim and supported the release with sold-out shows across the US, UK, Europe and beyond. 2020 began with the announcement of their most notable world tour to date, though the latter European half was postponed due to the global pandemic. The 11 tracks comprising Moments were inspired by reflecting on a variety of moments and unforgettable shared experiences in their lives and the lives of those around them over the past three years.  Their passion for positivity and lightness is reflected through their vivid lyricism, earthy vocals and perfect harmonies.
