February 1, 2019 BY Nettwerk
Hermitude have had a busy couple of months, emerging from the depths of the studio and releasing the first taste of new music with the release of “Stupid World feat. Bibi Bourelly.” Quickly a favorite, the single rushed to the top of triple j’s most played songs, and the top 50 Shazam Australian Chart.
Signifying new territory for the Australian duo, “Stupid World” shines with its glistening pop melodies and emotive ambience. A song that depicts a fresh start, Hermitude rise from the ashes with the help of Bibi Bourelly and her powerful vocal.
Before the next single lands, the hermits have released a trilogy of remixes to take the single to new heights, today revealing the final of the three by NYC-based producer, Machinedrum. The track premiered via Clash, calling it a “dazzling, colour-laden remix.”
Tinkering through intricate percussion, the remix sets a new pace for the single, taking it to a halftime drum ‘n’ bass wonderland. The multifaceted producer is a star on the rise, and has previously worked with the likes of Chrome Sparks, Mykki Blanco and many more.
The Machinedrum remix of “Stupid World” is out worldwide on Friday, February 1st through Elefant Traks & Nettwerk.
