Guster’s New Album ‘Look Alive’ Out Today + Watch Band On ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’

January 18, 2019 BY Nettwerk

Today, Guster releases their first new album in four years Look Alive on Nettwerk/Ocho Mule. Look Alive has earned accolades from Billboard, Entertainment Weekly, Paste, and Brooklyn Vegan who praised the album’s foray into “surprising territory,” as well as NPR Music, who said ‘Look Alive’ “slithers with colorful, sinewy synths.”

Last night, Guster played “Overexcited” on Late Night with Seth Meyers, and tomorrow, the band will perform on CBS Saturday Morning. This week, “Overexcited” was the No. 1 most added single at AAA/non-comm radio.

Watch Guster perform “Overexcited” on Late Night with Seth Meyers here:

Tonight, Guster will join Ted Allen of Chopped and Queer Eye fame for an evening of music and conversation at the Strand Rare Book Room in NYC. Tickets for the event are sold out, but more information can be found here.

It’s the second of two unusual release week events in NYC – on Tuesday, Guster joined Connor Ratliff (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Orange Is The New Black, Search Party) and Michael Cruz Kayne (Billy On The Street) as the special guests on their sold-out, hour-long improv show, TRI: An Improv Show at UCC.

For those who can’t make tonight’s Q&A event, Guster’s Brian Rosenworcel will host a Reddit AMA on Monday, January 21st at 1 PM ET on the r/Music subreddit to field fan questions about the new album.

Guster will tour extensively throughout 2019 in support of Look Alive, playing shows at the House of Blues in Boston, 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C., the Beacon Theatre in New York, and more. Full tour routing below.
