Guster’s ‘Look Alive’ Debuts At #5 On Billboard Current Albums Chart, #1 On Independent and Rock Charts

January 29, 2019 BY Nettwerk

Guster’s new album Look Alive, released January 18th on Nettwerk/Ocho Mule, debuts this week at #5 on Billboard’s Current Albums Chart, with many additional Top 10 openings including:

#1 Top Current Rock Albums
#1 Independent Current Albums
#2 Current Alternative Albums
#2 Top Internet
#7 Overall Digital Albums

The news follows release-week performances on Late Night with Seth Meyers, and CBS This Morning Saturday, and the launch of an extensive national headlining tour in support of Look Alive with a sold-out homecoming show at Boston’s House of Blues and two sold-out nights  at DC’s 9:30 Club. Many other dates on the tour are also sold-out, including the band’s return to NYC’s storied Beacon Theater and multiple nights at Bimbo’s in San Francisco.

Current single “Overexcited” recently cracked the Top 20 at AAA radio and continues its rapid climb, notching the #1 Most Increased slot for two weeks running. Listen to “Overexcited” here: https://spoti.fi/2TePq8N

Look Alive has earned praise from Billboard, Entertainment Weekly, Paste, and NPR Music who said the album “slithers with colorful, sinewy synths.”  WFUV just named the album This Week’s New Dig, saying Look Alive proves the band is “thriving with fresh ideas and indefatigable energy.”
