Guster Invites High School & College Bands To Open For Them In The Fall; Watch “Endlessly” Music Video

August 5, 2015 BY Nettwerk

This fall, Guster gives back by inviting local college and high school bands to open for them during their November run of tour dates.

“Opening for national acts was a huge deal for us back when we were a college band named Gus. We were lucky enough to grab gigs supporting Jackopierce, Rusted Root, and Live before we even graduated from Tufts.”

“Getting in front of these audiences helped us gain the confidence to give ‘being in a band’ a real shot. And we’d like to spread that karma. Maybe we can even join your band for a song and vice versa? We’re going to make this happen at every stop on our tour between November 5 and November 21.”

Submissions are due by September 21 at 10PM EDT.  The opportunity is open exclusively to bands enrolled in college or high schools.  Tour openers will be announced the week of Monday, September 28.

Having met at Tufts University, Guster has released seven studio albums, including the latest LP Evermotion (out now via Ocho Mule/Nettwerk Records).  Partnering with Paste Magazine, Guster shares the official music video for “Endlessly.” Filmed in New England, the video is a whale of a time.  Pun-intended.
