Good Old War + Justin Nozuka Announce Co-Headline Tour; New EP Out Feb 16

December 13, 2017 BY Nettwerk

Raucous trio Good Old War will team up with Canadian singer/songwriter Justin Nozuka for a lap of the U.S. that begins February 15th in Good Old War’s hometown of Philadelphia, PA and wraps on March 15th in Boston, MA.  The start of the tour coincides with the launch of Good Old War’s new EP, Part Of You, which is out February 16th and features longtime friend Anthony Green on lead single “That Feeling.”

Part Of You is the second of a three EP series that began with the early fall release of Part Of Me and saw longtime drummer/vocalist Tim Arnold rejoin Keith Goodwin and Dan Schwartz.  Known for their captivating, sing-along-inspiring live performances, Good Old War spent the fall of 2017 supporting Josh Ritter on his American run, with Nashville blog East of 8th declaring, “the band is back, better than ever.”  Past support slots include Alison Krauss, Joshua Radin, Guster, Brandi Carlile, Dispatch and Dr. Dog to name a few.

Justin Nozuka released his High Tide EP earlier this fall, followed by sold-out shows in New York and Los Angeles. Produced by Chris Bond (Ben Howard), its three songs reveal mature, thoughtful lyrics and beguiling melodies, while hinting at what’s to come on an album unfolding in three stages.  Justin’s live resume includes support slots with Stevie Wonder, Mary J. Blige, John Mayer and Jason Mraz.

Opening the show each night will be soulful UK newcomer River Matthews, who was discovered by songwriter Jamie Scott (One Direction, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran). River, who released his new EP Sunshine earlier this year, has found success on England’s Radio 2 and recently toured the UK with Rag’n’Bone Man. This will be his first tour of the U.S.
