GLOM ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM BELOW OUT JANUARY 9, 2026

October 20, 2025 BY Bailey Vigliaturo

Today, Glom (Sean Dunnevant) has announced the release of his third studio album, Below, on January 9, 2026, via new label home Nettwerk, and shares the album’s opening track, “Mirror,” with accompanying video.

Doubling as a snapshot of his life between 2022 and 2024, Below is a document of perseverance, a contemplation of uncertainty, unconventional routes, and heady emotions that accompany them. A follow-up to 2020’s Merit, the new record is a true raising of the stakes, the most fully realized version of his creative vision to date, and the first music from Glom as a solo endeavor. Possessing an infectious sound that pushes harder into heavy distortion and poppy dreamscapes, Below finds Glom building out sounds current and classic all at once, equally resembling the crunchy and high-definition sounds of ‘90s alternative rock like Third Eye Blind, melodic structure reminiscent of grunge-gazers Narrow Head, as well as fellow virtuosic and emo-adjacent peers like Dazy. Hints of these influences pulse through recent cuts, “Glass,” which has become a staple in his discography, and the most recent, “Late To The Party.”

Dunnevant shares, “With the previous Glom records, I took a lot of time to make the lyrics veiled and mysterious.” “With this record, I didn’t want to do that anymore. I wanted the lyrics to mirror what was happening in real life.”

To wit, the expansive track “Mirror” references selling Rick Owens clothes for rent as well as his old, heat-bereft apartment, sitting in the cold with his down coat on while convincing himself that everything was fine. He adds, “My belief is my only weakness,” directly referencing the song’s lyrics. “I want things to work out so bad that I’m willing to put up with the fact that our apartment doesn’t have heat, because that’s the only apartment we can afford.”

Glom has been a mainstay in Brooklyn’s music scene— over the past few years, he has toured extensively. Over the summer, he completed a national run alongside indie rock group Drook and Tommy Oeffling, and most recently supported Will Paquin on his East Coast run, which comes to an end tonight in Nashville at DRKMTTR.
