Hailing from Los Angeles, genre-bending singer-songwriter Madeline Megery blends folk and electronic music on her debut EP Where You Roam, out now via Nettwerk. She draws her inspiration from the soundscapes of nature and the lessons learned while exploring the natural world.

“Where You Roam is about the explorations of the human experience that lead us back to ourselves,” says Madeline.

The previously released single “Vertigo” sets the stage for the rest of the EP, focusing on feeling trapped in our thoughts and the mental mazes we create for ourselves. Through dreamy soundscapes and captivating lyrics, the rest of the EP explores the realities of being free to explore the physical and emotional world around us.

Madeline continues, “Each song is an inquiry into the self and, ultimately, the lessons and freedom that come from diving in and setting out to learn more about ourselves and the world. Blending indie-folk and electronic genres and incorporating the juxtaposition of acoustic instrumentation like guitar and banjos with electronic beats and ethereal vocals, the EP covers a range of sound and emotion through each song.”

Until now, Madeline has gained millions of streams across DSP platforms with her fusion of indie and electronic music. She has written and recorded with indie-electronic duo Forester and has shared the stage with them at Outside Lands. Madeline will continue to release her music via Nettwerk. Stay tuned for more to come from this star on the rise….
