Genre-bending Collective Joe Hertler & the Rainbow Seekers Sign to Nettwerk; Shares New Song + Fall Tour Dates!

August 22, 2022 BY Jason Currell

Today, the genre-bending collective Joe Hertler & the Rainbow Seekers are proud to announce their signing to Nettwerk Music Group and share the funky fresh new groove, “HELP.” With fiery electric guitars, a driving drumbeat, and soulful vocals, the Rainbow Seekers leave the listener no choice but to dance on this ethereal exploration of good and evil. Joe Hertler & the Rainbow Seekers join a growing Nettwerk roster of that includes John Butler Trio, Sammy Rae & the Friends, cloudchord, NEIL FRANCES, Anomalie, and more. Listen to “HELP” on all digital retailers (here).

Joe explains the meaning behind the heady song: “This song is a story that attempts to personify the angel of death. He’s supposed to show up to work and not complain, remain indifferent to the task: ferrying souls from point A to point B. He’s ancient and lonely. Gods have come and gone, their souls he’s even carried, and certainly none of them reply to his texts. I had always imagined death picking up the soul of a kid, perhaps killed in a bomb attack, and he tries to text God to be like… ‘you fucking serious, dawg? like, why her? She didn’t deserve this…’ Death is not supposed to be affected by the affairs and trifling of humanity, but humanity starts to permeate into his consciousness. Anyhow, the main character is someone who picks up Death, who is hitchhiking, at the side of the road, and joins him as he collects souls. All the while death vents and complains to his driver.”

The Rainbow Seekers are also excited to announce new Fall 2022 tour dates with their friends and kindred spirits Proxima Parada. Tickets are on sale now! Find the full list below and visit for more details.

Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers will make a sprightly young groove doctor out of anyone. With spectacular energy pulsating from every member of the band, the Rainbow Seekers could illuminate the very chambers of Heaven. Lead singer Joe Hertler splashes through lyrical puddles of golden rain, leaving his audience wearing flowery crowns and bubbling smiles. A ride on the Rainbow will take you across the mountains of Motown, through the fjords of folk, over the archipelagos of Americana, and-at last-into a funky firth, where only the fiercest of friendships can be found. Their quest has brought them across the nation and upon such noble gatherings as Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, and Summer Camp. “The live show is the purpose of the band. This is why we make music. Playing music is a symbiotic process, the crowd is as much a part of it as the musicians. We give as much energy and love as we can and we can feel that coming from the crowd as well” says Hertler. “We believe that performance is not a High Art operation, and that you should do anything you can to ensure that the crowd is having a good time. From piñatas to confetti, to fog, to flowers, to drum solos, to strobe lights, to Thor, to sword battles-literally anything goes.” Join them in their celebration, and they will take you on a never-ending journey to a place you’ll never be able to describe in words.
