Garrett Kato Announces North American Tour With Ziggy Alberts

Canadian-born, Australia-based singer/songwriter Garrett Kato announces a North American tour supporting fellow Australian artist Ziggy Alberts. Launching June 18th in New York City, the 10-date run of shows will take Kato through major markets across America, wrapping in Canada on July 11th in Montreal. A full list of dates is below.
Last Friday, Garrett shared an acoustic and live forest version of his single “River Mouth,” which previously premiered on Australia’s triple j. The station had this to say of the track, “If you’re a fan of Ziggy Alberts and Riley Pearce, then we think you you’re going to love Garrett Kato.” “River Mouth” is off Garrett Kato’s forthcoming EP titled Distant Land, releasing worldwide on June 14, 2019.
Garrett Kato moved to Byron Bay (Australia) in 2010 on a whim after quitting his day job to pursue his passion for music. He first started to make a living by busking on street corners and performing five gigs a week in any place he could find with a stage. It was not until he caught the attention of some of Australia’s biggest acts that he was able to take his career to the next level. With over 20 million worldwide streams on Spotify to date producing for a string of Australian indie folk acts like Ziggy Alberts, Kyle Lionheart, Pierce Brothers and Riley Pearce; Garrett is looking ahead to a big year of touring and releasing a stunning collection of new music.
