Findlay Brown Signs To Nettwerk; Listen To Cover Of “Lean On Me”

January 18, 2017 BY Nettwerk

Nettwerk is excited to announce the signing of Findlay Brown to its label and publishing rosters. Today, the Yorkshire, UK-born, currently Copenhagen, Denmark-based singer-songwriter releases a new track, a cover of Bill Withers “Lean on Me.” Findlay interprets the classic song in his own unique trademark style, an intimate affair featuring his distinctive warm vocals and lush instrumentation.

Findlay Brown released his third solo album Slow Light via DPC Records back in 2015. Written and recorded in New York over a two-year period, Slow Light marked a definite return to the more folk-pop sound and song-writing of Findlay’s 2007 acclaimed debut album Separated By The Sea, which The Guardian called “brilliantly melancholic.”

Over the years, Findlay has been featured and appeared in many international media and publications, including The New York Times, The Guardian, SPIN, Mojo, Uncut, BBC, Vice, Vogue, The LA Times, Interview Magazine, Stereogum, and more. He’s appeared on national TV, performing on BBC Two’s TOTP2, and on The Late Show with David Letterman.

Findlay Brown is currently writing new material for his yet-untitled new studio album. Stay tuned for more information and new music.
