June 24, 2021 BY Nettwerk
LA-born, Portland-based singer & songwriter Eddie Berman shares “Cherokee Rose,” the first single from his upcoming album, details TBA. The gentle steel-guitar epic, which recalls the work of Damien Jurado and Bill Callahan, was inspired partly by the intense Cormac McCarthy novel Blood Meridian. Berman explains the song is about, “a couple traversing a beautiful but ominous landscape, as they’re searching or waiting for some kind of revelation that might never come.” “Cherokee Rose” is available at digital retailers HERE.
In 2014, Eddie made his debut with the EP Blood & Rust, featuring his duet of “Dancing in the Dark” with British folk icon Laura Marling. His profile grew on international tours and with the release of his first LP, 2014’s Polyhymnia, followed by 2017’s Before The Bridge and 2019’s Frontiers. These releases saw him reach new milestones, generating tens of millions of streams on coveted Spotify playlists like Your Favorite Coffeehouse, Acoustic Covers, and The Pulse of Americana, and spurring tours with Laura Marling, Tyler Childers, Passenger and Lee Ann Womack.
