“Close your eyes, don’t think of the harsh Middle-european winter right now and dream yourself away to better times. All you need for this musical flash forward to the warm days of spring are the tender two and a half minutes provided by Dutch dream folk two-piece Rosemary & Garlic,” – Nothing But Hope And Passion
Out today, The Netherlands-based dream-pop duo Rosemary & Garlic – Anne van den Hoogen (vocals, acoustic guitar) and Dolf Smolenaers (piano, keyboard, electric guitar, vocals) – will release their self-titled debut studio album via Nettwerk Records.
In anticipation of the full-length, the duo has shared the official music video for “I’m Here (Spring Version)”, a variation on the original track that was self-released late last year and had garnered 1.5 million-plus combined streams. Watch “I’m Here (Spring Version)” above.
Contemporary artist Gregory Euclide (most famously known for creating the artwork for Bon Iver’s critically acclaimed second album) created the album’s gorgeous and striking artwork. The mood of the album is perfectly reflected by the fairy-tale-like image of the water surrounded by vegetation, in which the grimness of the city is reflected.
