Dream Pop Band BATHE ALONE Team Up With NIGHT TAPES On “Blame Me” Remix; Announce Tour
August 23, 2024 BY Bailey Vigliaturo
Atlanta dream pop artist Bathe Alone is excited to announce their first headline tour this fall. The run will launch on October 14th in Athens, GA, and will take them to Chapel Hill, NC, Brooklyn, and Pittsburgh before wrapping up in Nashville at the Good Good Festival.
Today, they share a rework of their single, “Blame Me,” by genre-bending UK trio Night Tapes. The original track is off Bathe Alone’s new album, I Don’t Do Humidity, which was released to critical praise by outlets like Flood, Stereogum, Paste, and Under The Radar this past June.
Bailey from the band adds, “I’ve been a fan of Night Tapes since I first heard them a few years ago, and when the idea for a remix came up, they were the first artist that popped into my head as a dream collab. I’m so stoked that they were down for it, and it totally breathed new life into a song that was so personal and upsetting to write. As far as the emotion of this song goes, this remix feels like the icing on the cake.”

Bathe Alone is the moniker for multi-instrumentalist Bailey Crone, who works closely with producer Damon Moon (Curtis Harding, Lunar Vacation & more). Known for exploring her own life in her music, the multi-instrumentalist dives even deeper with the new LP, unpacking her recent divorce and toxic friendships. It features a kaleidoscopic array of swirling synths, moody minor-key melodies, lush vocal layers, and hazy, crystalline production, courtesy of Crone’s close friend and collaborator Damon Moon (Curtis Harding, Lunar Vacation) and his Atlanta studio, Standard Electric Recorders Co. They have already received the attention of Paste, Under The Radar, Flood, Ones to Watch, Sharon Van Etten, and John Mayer. No stranger to the road, Bathe Alone has opened for artists like Jadu Heart, Beabadoobee, Neighbor Lady, Vacations, Last Dinosaurs, and most recently, Bombay Bicycle Club.
