Danny Dwyer; The Hyper Pop Artist Returns With “League.” Currently On Tour With Alexander 23

Today hyper-pop R&B artist Danny Dwyer returns with his brand-new single “League,” an inviting underdog’s anthem for those who are overlooked and underappreciated. With the news of the release, Danny is excited to perform “League” live while currently on tour supporting Alexander 23 in the U.K., including stops in London, Paris, Glasgow, and more. “League” is a preview of what’s to come from the world of Danny Dwyer in 2023.
Danny shares on the track, “An Ode to those whose love goes unreciprocated, unappreciated, and overlooked. Around the time I was writing “League” I became obsessed with late 90’s early 2000’s music and the narratives hidden within those songs. I feel like currently people are so caught up with being cool and catching the latest trend they forget the value of being true to what you feel, even if it’s not feeling popular or loved.”

“League” follows Danny’s recent double EP, LOSERS, an emotional portrayal of liberated youth. The EP is a love letter and a goodbye note to his rural stomping grounds of the Midwest. “I used to feel the need to exploit as much as possible from any opportunity,” Danny says of the way LA twisted him. “Now I want to work on my bike and make sense of where I come from and where I am. All of these things I’ve compartmentalized for so long are now colliding.” The result is a collection of coming-of-age songs that have one foot in Friday Night Lights and another in Harmony Korine’s Kids. Every Danny Dwyer song starts with him screaming at a wall. With roots in hip hop and alternative rock, the Missouri-born, LA-based artist-producer grew up balancing his time between dirt bikes, guitars, and Ableton. After racking up streams during SoundCloud’s golden era, his heat-seeking ears brought him big league attention and a one-way ticket to Hollywood. There he holed up in a downtown loft and threw his mad scientist mind at every DAW and instrument within striking distance.
