Current Swell To Release ‘Home Is Where You Make It’ EP; Watch “Bad News” Official Music Video

Canada’s Current Swell shares the official music video for “Bad News,” first track from the forthcoming EP titled Home Is Where You Make It (Out June 29 via Nettwerk Records). The 5-song EP features four new tracks, including a live version of “I Want A Bird.”
Singer-guitarist Scott Stanton wrote this song about a friend who was struggling with a substance use disorder.
“What I’ve learned from this whole experience is how complicated addiction is on people, and how important it is to be there for them,” explains Stanton. “When watching the video or listening to the song, I really hope people can understand the message and realize that this can happen to anyone.”
As part of an awareness campaign, the band wanted to use the video to invoke conversation and to utilize statistics that show addiction is not just a homeless problem or related to financial means.
