November 6, 2017 BY Nettwerk

Indie-pop singer/songwriter Caroline Pennell will release her debut EP, Phases, on January 12, 2018.  The EP is comprised of six tracks that tell a coming-of-age story, at once deeply personal and widely relatable. Los Angelinos will have the opportunity to see Caroline play live at Hotel Café on November 14th at 8pm (Stage 2).

Caroline first gave a taste of the EP with latest single, “Drive Me Home,” which explores themes of love and longing while Caroline sings in her beautifully distinct tone to an electronic-tinged pop soundtrack.  The track has already amassed nearly 2 million streams on Spotify, with Ones To Watch commenting, “In ‘Drive Me Home,’ we witness Pennell truly coming into her own with an established signature sound, honest and vulnerable songwriting.”

Last year, Caroline teased her new sound with infectious electro pop single “Lovesick,” a collaboration with producer Felix Snow. Awash in dreamy electronics, her show-stopping and stunning delivery took the spotlight as the song landed on high-profile Spotify playlists such as Pop Chill Out, Good Vibes, Trap Nation, and Fresh & Chill in addition to amassing over 22 million streams in under a year. Meanwhile, she regularly averaged 1.4 million monthly listeners on the platform. Simultaneously, the multitalented artist became an in-demand collaborator throughout the dance music world, lending her inimitable vocals to Steve Void’s “9PM” and ROLF & Yellow Claw’s “Vertigo,” among others.

Stay tuned for much more from Caroline Pennell.
