Today, Canadian singer-songwriter Joshua Hyslop shares his introspective new single, “Pieces.” Hyslop explains, “This one is about coming to terms with the fact that vulnerability is actually a strength and the only true way for real connection to take place. It’s learning how to let your guard down and not giving up.” The track is his first new release since his 2022 album, Westward.

The prolific singer-songwriter has carved out an impressive diehard fan base, releasing five full-length albums in the last ten years and racking up over 400 million streams. Following a recent move from his longtime home of Vancouver to the idyllic Vancouver Island with his young family, he has started working on his next album, which dives into feelings of nostalgia and how it intertwines with the wisdom and confidence that comes with growing up.  On Sunday, he will wrap up a North American tour that included a date at the iconic Lincoln Center in New York City with a show in Carmel Valley, CA.

His latest release, Westward [2022], tackled the anxiety that comes with new parenthood during the pandemic. It followed his extensive catalog that includes albums: Ash & Stone [2020], Where The Mountain Meets the Valley [2012], In Deepest Blue [2015], and Echos [2018]. He has received praise from the likes of American Songwriter, Earmilk, NPR, Exclaim!, and many more.
