CALEB HEARN ANNOUNCES SOPHOMORE ALBUM LEAVE THE WORLD BEHIND OUT FEBRUARY 20 VIA NETTWERK + SHARES NEW SINGLE “LEFT OF US”

Indie folk-pop singer-songwriter Caleb Hearn steps boldly into a new era with the release of his aching new single “LEFT OF US,” arriving alongside the announcement of his highly anticipated sophomore album, LEAVE THE WORLD BEHIND, out February 20 via Nettwerk.
A sweeping, emotionally charged ballad, “LEFT OF US” opens with delicate piano and soft whistling before swelling into a lush arrangement of strings that feel like the morning’s first light creeping over the horizon. The track reaches its emotional peak with Hearn’s soaring delivery of the devastating refrain: “There’s a little left of us, more than what we said there was.”
“It’s a heartbreaking ballad,” Hearn shares. “Thematically, it’s different from the rest of the record, but it’s so real. It’s about moving on from a relationship when it isn’t working. A lot of times, it’s difficult since you get comfortable. The unknown is very scary, but the best thing is to move on and count your blessings.”
The new single sets the stage for LEAVE THE WORLD BEHIND, a 13-track coming-of-age album capturing Hearn’s evolution at 25—a moment defined by growth, clarity, and learning to release the past. Written over the past year during a retreat in Gatlinburg, TN with co-producers Colin Foote & Alex Borel (Dean Lewis, Matt Hansen) and Ruslan Odnoralov (The Chainsmokers, Charlotte Sands), and completed through sessions in Nashville and Los Angeles, the album marks his most vulnerable and sonically adventurous work yet, incorporating organic textures and even vintage tape recordings.
“‘LEAVE THE WORLD BEHIND’ is a story about growing up, letting go, and learning to be okay with leaving the past where it belongs,” Hearn explains. “Every song is a little step toward forgiving and learning from my mistakes. There are a lot of sounds and emotions we explored, and I really think that’s what makes this album my favorite project I’ve been a part of.”
The record features previously released standouts “THE LOWS,” “SILVER LINING,” “PLAY IT SAFE,” and his heartfelt duet “BITE THE BULLET” with Jenna Raine.
