Bre Kennedy Arrives At Her Saturn Return w/ ‘Scream Over Everything.’ New Album Out Today
November 10, 2023 BY Emma Orland
Singer, songwriter, and producer Bre Kennedy has arrived at her Saturn Return with her sophomore full-length album, Scream Over Everything, out today. Using this phoenix-rising moment to serve as deep inspiration, Scream Over Everything invites listeners into an intimate conversation with Bre as she shares her most revealing songs yet, disclosing her innermost thoughts, fears and dreams as she navigates through the noise of the world and learns to accept her truest self. This collection of music serves as a poignant and evocative whole, and allows Bre the chance to share the outcome of her metamorphic year.
“It’s called ‘Scream Over Everything’ because I wrote these songs about screaming over all of the noise around me, whether it’s social media, the chaos of the world, or the stories I’ve been telling myself…The whole record feels visceral and alive. It’s about returning to myself now. Previously, my writing was very nostalgic—this album is intentionally very present,” shares Bre.
Bre will celebrate the cathartic release of the album with two special release shows (and some very special surprise guests!) in Nashville at The Basement East on November 14th and in Los Angeles at Club Tee Gee on November 19th. Scream Over Everything is available on all digital and streaming platforms here.

Throughout the year, Bre has offered glimpses into the full length with the lush and intimate tracks like “Retrospect,” “Navigating,” “Meantime,” and “The Vase,” as well as the synth soaked “Hello” featuring a guest spoken verse from Jake Wesley Rogers. Written over the course of one year, as Bre joined Joy Oladokun and Paper Kites on their headlining tours, Scream Over Everything features co-writes from Morgan Nagler, Mikey Reaves, and Emily Hackett, and is produced by Davis Naish (Joshua Bassett, Katelyn Tarver) and mixed by Konrad Snyder (Noah Kahan, Kacey Musgrave).
These nine enigmatic acoustic pop songs showcase Bre’s signature style as she makes the personal universal, recounting stories of reconnecting with estranged family members, seeking therapy, and growing into and out of relationships. Scream Over Everything is a powerful sentiment and she stands her ground, navigates the world, and fully embraces the present.
“I’d love for the listener to feel empowered to acknowledge something in themselves and to feel seen when they hear these songs this year. If you’re in a season of growth or the turning of a chapter, I want you to celebrate where you’re at presently in your healing journey. I hope these songs can hold that space to let it all out. And I hope you dance.”
