Bedroom-Pop Creative Boy Willows Shares Details To ‘Choking For A Year’ EP; Listen To “It’s Good You’re Not A Ghost”

Boy Willows (Landon Fleischman) has immersed himself in the world of experimental bedroom pop – layering ethereal, dreamy production around his soft yet distinctive voice. Inspired by his side job music as a lighting designer (having toured with Wallows, Alan Walker, Mustard), the music, like sunlight filtered through closed eyelids, feels warm and spacious.
Today, he shares “It’s Good You’re Not A Ghost,” a subtle and meditative track showcasing his intimate understanding of how to incorporate “light” into sound through delicately-layered harmonies and gentle atmospherics. The single precedes Choking For A Year, a 4-track EP about a life-changing injury. “It changed my voice, my confidence, my identity. A fun little byproduct was that the first year felt like I was choking the entire time. Learning how to create with this burden and how to accept it without freaking out was the journey of this EP,” he says.
