Bedroom Pop Artist awfultune Releases New Single “!!!!jealous”

Today, bedroom pop artist awfultune (Layla Eden) releases “!!!!jealous,” the second single off her EP, set for release July 18, 2025, via Nettwerk Music Group. For “!!!jealous,” awfultune teamed up with Jacob Bugden (beabadoobee, slowthai) and Richard Orofino (Mila Degray, girlhouse) to bring the song to life. This single follows the recently released, “urmybiggestfear,” which collectively mark a new chapter sonically for awfultune, embracing a more experimental sound while maintaining the authenticity and vulnerability that her listeners have come to expect.
In her own words, “!!!!jealous” is the second single off my EP. I wrote it four years ago and recorded it in London two years later. This song has been sitting with me for a long time. It’s about holding everything in while your heart breaks—that sore breathless feeling when you’re happy for someone, but it still hurts that it’s not you. It’s personal and a little messy, everything I couldn’t really say out loud.”
The single is accompanied by a sepia-toned visualizer, shot by Shervin Lainez.
