July 25, 2019 BY Nettwerk

“Defined by poignant lyrics, haunting melodies, and an expansive arrangement, the listener instantly feels an innate honesty in Harrison Storm…” – Ones To Watch

Australian singer-songwriter Harrison Storm returns to the US to support labelmates The Paper Kites on their upcoming US tour, followed by headline shows in Australia, UK, and Europe.  For full dates, click HERE.

While on tour, Harrison will play new music from his latest EP Falling Down (out today via Nettwerk).  Over the past few years, Storm has developed a singular style, merging impressive classically-inspired fingerpicking and a soulful vocal delivery equally resonant of alternative, folk and even blues.

Each EP acts as a little snapshot of my life where I can look back and see what I was thinking or what was going on at that moment in my life. This EP ‘Falling Down’ definitely captures a time that was the most turbulent and transitionary,” says Harrison.  Adding, “’How to Help’ is about someone really close to me going through a dark time and desperately trying to connect with them. I wrote it while I was overseas and ended up recording it back in Australia with my good friend Hayden Calnin.”

Storm has spent his life traveling to numerous parts of Australia in a wagon with his friends, spending time camping and surfing. His life epitomizes outdoor living and it comes through in his music. This is best visualized in the official video for “Change It All,” which has over 30 million streams on Spotify, on top of the 150 million combined streams on Spotify.

About Harrison Storm:

Storm personifies that eloquent edict of carpe diem. Under the cover of sand and waves, the fabled Australian beach life defined Storm’s formative years. This upbringing by the sea, translated into a love of adventure that he still carries with him today, finding chances to take on new challenges. Diligently chasing his musical dream with a sense of urgency, he organized and launched a popular “acoustic night” in his quaint beachside hometown of Mornington, Victoria at the age of 20. Two years later, he dropped out of university to solely devote his days to busking for tourists in Melbourne, eventually making enough to finance his 2015 debut EP Sense of Home, produced by friend Hayden Calnin. Its title track would place prominently on key streaming playlists, amassing an impressive 54 million+ combined streams and catching the attention of Nettwerk co-founder Terry McBride, who personally signed Storm after sending him a message on Facebook. Storm has performed to packed crowds across Australia, UK, EU, US and Canada, developing a powerful presence on stage alongside the likes of Ziggy Alberts, SYML, Snow Patrol, Tash Sultana, Michael Franti, The Cat Empire, Husky, The Head and the Heart, and more. Simultaneously, he impacted the influential Triple J and received airtime on BBC Radio 2 and US tastemaker station KCRW.
