Australia’s Harrison Storm Goes On The Road With Ziggy Alberts; See Dates Below

August 30, 2018 BY Nettwerk

Australia’s Harrison Storm returns to the US to open for Ziggy Alberts on several sold-out shows, in addition to a Columbus, OH support date with Snow Patrol.  Starting next week (September 4), Harrison will be at the Bootleg in Los Angeles, before wrapping things up in Toronto and heading to Europe with labelmate SYML (Brian Fennell).  North American dates below; see full dates on his website at http://www.harrisonstorm.com.

Earlier this summer, Storm shared the bewitching single “Feeling You’” (out now via Nettwerk Records); a song about being captivated by someone for the first time…Co-written with Sam Ashworth in Nashville and produced by fellow Australian musician Dustin Tebbutt, it shows his growth as a songwriter and vocalist. Developing a memorable and singular style, margining impressive classically inspired fingerpicking and a soulful, hypnotic vocal delivery.

“I was so stoked when Dustin agreed to jump on-board and produce, record and mix the track. I am a huge fan of what he does as a producer and as an artist,” said Storm. “This track still has a strong acoustic foundation which I’ll always try to incorporate, but has a lot of new sounds of which I’m excited for people to hear.”

Storm has spent his life traveling to numerous parts of Australia in a wagon with his friends, spending time camping and surfing. His life epitomizes outdoor living and this comes through in his music. This is best visualized in the official video for his previous single “Change It All,” which has over 17 million streams, on top of his already 65.6 million combined streams on Spotify.

About Harrison Storm:

Harrison Storm personifies that eloquent edict of carpe diem. Under the cover of sand and waves, the fabled Australian beach life defined Storm’s formative years. This upbringing by the sea, translated into a love of adventure that he still carries with him today, finding chances to take on new challenges. Diligently chasing his musical dream with a sense of urgency, he organized and launched a popular “acoustic night” in his quaint beachside hometown of Mornington, Victoria at the age of 20. Two years later, he dropped out of university to solely devote his days to busking for tourists in Melbourne, eventually making enough to finance his 2015 debut EP Sense of Home, produced by friend Hayden Calnin. Its title track would place prominently on key streaming playlists, amassing an impressive 34 million+ combined streams and catching the attention of Nettwerk co-founder Terry McBride, who personally signed Storm after sending him a message on Facebook. In the past, Storm has performed to packed crowds across Australia, developing a powerful presence on stage alongside the likes of Tash Sultana, Michael Franti, The Cat Empire, Husky, The Head and the Heart, and more. Simultaneously, he impacted the influential Triple J and received airtime on US tastemaker station KCRW.
