Ash Lune Announces New Single “Pepsi”

May 25, 2023 BY Jason Currell

An extraordinarily exciting new face in alternative pop, Mumbai-born, Brisbane-based Ash Lune returns with a provocative pop banger ‘Pepsi’ about the monotony of dating culture in our generation. A combination of sweet melodies and bitter moods, ‘Pepsi’ is a story about relationships becoming ‘situationships’ that swells from melancholy guitar and blue vocals into a pulsating beat-filled chorus full of opulent production and layered harmonies.

On the single, Ash explains: ‘I wanted the music to sonically fit the lyrics and depict the love I have as well as the kind of love I crave.’

This release follows Ash Lune’s ethereal and deeply authentic single ‘Sunday Morning’. Last November saw the release of Ash’s second EP, ’The Mind Palace’, following on from her debut, ’Broken Science Experiments’. Since her explosion on the music scene in 2021, Ash Lune has won fans from the likes of i-D, Notion, The Forty-Five, Rolling Stone, DIY, METAL and more. Her music has received airplay from across the world including Jack Saunders at Radio 1 UK, and KCRW in the USA.

Although deeply contemporary, there’s a timelessness to Lune’s music that belies its creator’s tender years. Across her music, Lune excavates the deepest recesses of her heart in order to create music that speaks to everyone, across seas, across cultures, and across all walks of life.
