Shayfer James is an internationally touring American singer–songwriter, pianist, and composer known for hauntingly beautiful and bombastic music that blends elements of rock, pop, soul and cabaret. Shayfer began playing piano and writing music at a young age, drawing inspiration from diverse musical influences such as Sam Cooke, Stephen Sondheim, Johnny Cash, Elton John, Nat King Cole and The Native Tongues. Shayfer has independently 4 LPs and 5 EPs along with multiple singles, each showcasing the evolution of his unique style. Shayfer is also a prolific film and theatre composer and arranger, having written scores for numerous movies, dance productions, and theatrical pieces.
