Phillip LaRue

Singer, songwriter, and producer Philip LaRue threads together broad strokes of melody accented by experimental nuances. He tempers emotional and ethereal vocals with otherworldly cinematic production awash in vibrant sonic hues, twirling like a kaleidoscope across the entire spectrum. Tallying tens of millions of streams, the Nashville-based artist envisions a masterpiece-in-motion on his 2022 debut EP for Nettwerk, Colors.

Sincerity remains one of his hallmarks, whether he’s in the spotlight or behind-the-scenes. As a songwriter, his discography spans cuts for artists like Tenth Avenue North, Audrey Assad, Jennifer Knap, Phil Wickham, and beyond. He notably garnered a Dove Award for “Song of the Year” for co-writing Tenth Avenue North’s “By Your Side,” and co-wrote Tyler Farr’s platinum-certified country smash “Whiskey in My Water.” Along the way, he landed syncs on shows like Grey’s AnatomyVampire DiariesGhost Whisperer and Nashville, as well as campaigns for Apple, Volkswagen, McDonald’s, and Dignity Health. He also shared four fan favorite solo albums, including Let The Road Pave Itself [2009], You [2015], The Meaning [2018], and An Analog Digital Heart[2019]. 

Collaborating with co-producer and co-writer Andrew Petroff in 2021, he carefully crafted what would become Colors. “I feel like this body of work has been sitting inside of me for so long,” he smiles. “I’m excited to watch it finally bloom.” As it does bloom, Philip forges his deepest connection yet.
