Phillip LaRue

Nashville singer, songwriter, artist and producer, Phillip LaRue, pays homage to the beauty around him with moving lyricism, fragile instrumentation and lush production. On his new LP, Colors [Nettwerk], he chronicles relationships with his wife, grandmother and sister, with 13 heartfelt tracks. LaRue has captivated fans with his nuanced perspective as an artist and a songwriter. He has cultivated a catalog highlighted by co-writing the platinum #1 country hit “Whiskey in My Water” for Tyler Farr, the platinum track “Night Shift” for Jon Pardi and Tenth Avenue North’s “By Your Side,” which won a Dove Award for “Song of the Year.” He also co-wrote and sang on Ocula’s “Green Willow.” His music has been featured in Virgin River, Grey’s Anatomy, Vampire Diaries, Nashville, etc., and in campaigns for Apple, Volkswagen, McDonald’s and Dignity Health. He has also released the indie solo albums Let The Road Pave Itself [2009], You [2015], The Meaning [2018] and An Analog Digital Heart [2019].  There’s a ton of beauty to uncover in the songs that comprise Colors. “I tried to make this feel like a road trip album,” he states. “Listen, roll the windows down, and get out of it whatever you need. Maybe this helps you ask questions, get a different viewpoint, be honest with yourself and create a lasting memory. If I can be a part of your story, that would be cool.”
