Phillip LaRue

Nashville-based singer, songwriter, artist and producer, Phillip LaRue, pays homage to the beauty around him with moving lyricism, fragile instrumentation and lush production. On his new EP, Thank You June [Nettwerk], he chronicles relationships with his wife and sister, with 5 heartfelt tracks.

LaRue has captivated fans with his nuanced perspective as an artist and a songwriter. He has cultivated a catalog highlighted by co-writing the platinum #1 country hit “Whiskey in My Water” for Tyler Farr, the platinum track “Night Shift” for Jon Pardi and Tenth Avenue North’s “By Your Side,” which won a Dove Award for “Song of the Year. He also co-wrote and sang on Ocula’s “Green Willow.” His music has been featured in Virgin River, Grey’s Anatomy, Vampire Diaries, Nashville, etc., and in campaigns for Apple, Volkswagen, McDonald’s and Dignity Health. He has also released the indie solo albums Let The Road Pave Itself [2009], You [2015], The Meaning [2018] and An Analog Digital Heart [2019]. Now, he sets the stage for his forth coming album with a pair of EPs: September 2022’s It All and its sister EP, Thank You June, out March 2023.

There’s a ton of beauty to uncover in the songs that comprise Thank You June. “There are celebratory moments and self-reflective moments,” he notes. “Despite the broken pieces, you can still uncover something beautiful and lean into it. The EP is about finding beauty in the midst of pain.”
