Old Sea Brigade
Life happens between all of the changes around us. We adapt to the ebbs and flows in our environment and ultimately grow in the middle of major milestones. Old Sea Brigade documents the space between those changes in his songs. Two opposite ends of the world, two vastly different experiences, and two singular sources of inspiration shape Old Sea Brigade’s 2025 EP series, If I Only Knew (Parts 1 & 2). This duality undeniably impacted singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Ben Cramer.
On one hand, there’s his new life as a husband and father now settled in Sweden. On the other hand, there are countless memories and stories from his time in Nashville, TN. Both of these lives converge into one vision in his music. Both sides depend on each other, and they have also invariably made Ben who he is today.
You could say Ben channels this magic no matter where he is, though. The Atlanta native introduced himself under the moniker of Old Sea Brigade during 2016. He grew as a writer and performer by sharing the likes of the Old Sea Brigade EP [2016], Ode To A Friend [2019], All The Ways You Sing in the Dark EP [2020] with Luke Sital-Singh, Motivational Speaking [2021], and 5AM In Paradise [2022]. His music gathered hundreds of millions of streams, and songs such as “Love Brought Weight,” “Tidal Wave,” “Hope,” and “Call Me When You Land” [with Luke Sital-Singh] resonated on a global scale. He received acclaim from the Boston Globe, Brooklyn Vegan, Consequence, No Depression, Uncut, Under The Radar, and more, in addition to making his national television debut by appearing on CBS Mornings “Saturday Sessions.” During 2024, he unveiled Part 1 of If I Only Knew.
