Hazlett
Based in Sweden since 2019, Australian-born indie folk singer Hazlett has been able to amass a solid fanbase throughout the years with over a quarter billion streams and abundance of Spotify editorial placements including, New Music Friday, Acoustic Chill, Autumn Acoustics, Fresh Folk, Folk & Friends, Roots Rising, You’re Favorite Coffeehouse, Coffee + Chill, Café Croissant, and several TV syncs on shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, The Good Doctor, and more. However, the musical path hasn’t always been linear for the Australian folk dynamo – from being a bass player in a band in Germany to completely quitting music while making the move back to Australia. Needing to pay the bills while starting a new life interning at an advertising agency, Hazlett started to perform in local pubs. This is where his old music publisher found out about his singing abilities and introduced him to now longtime collaborator Freddy Alexander, a turning point that reignited his passion for music and set him on the path to success.
The last few years have been eventful for Hazlett, as he released his 2023 debut album Bloom Mountain to positive support from the likes of The Line of Best Fit and Atwood Magazine, having previously received acclaim from CLASH, NME, and more. Going on to support Wild Rivers and Josiah & The Bonnevilles across the UK and Europe, he ended the year by releasing the EP, Goodbye to the Valley Low. 2024 proved to be a monumental one for Hazlett – releasing his sophomore album Goodbye to the Valley Low and having opened shows for LANY, Calum Scott, Passenger, Ocie Elliott, John Vincent III as well as his very first North American headline tour. In early 2025, Hazlett returned with a sold out North American tour. Then that summer, he followed by a performance at London’s BST Hyde Park as a supporting act for Noah Kahan.
Told through a collection of sonic postcards, Hazlett’s 2025 third full-length record last night you said you missed me blends stripped-back ballads and comforting acoustic textures, exploring themes of self-preservation, distance, yearning, and quiet hope. Each track unfolds like a handwritten letter—raw, honest, and brimming with feeling. Whether you’re walking through city streets alone or sitting by candlelight, this record is a confession and a cathartic hug—a reminder that home isn’t always a place. Sometimes, it’s a song that stays a while. Hazlett supported the record with his second headline tour in the fall of 2025.
