Nature is a dominant influence Freyr’s music. The source of that can be traced back to two things: his upbringing in Umeå, a city located in the mellow forests of the northern Sweden), and the stillness of Iceland, where he spent most of his childhood summers. Through his view of these environments, he invites listeners to an intimate space of storytelling. With a down-to-earth musical expression, Freyr finds something big in the minimalistic. He builds up fragile melodies that encircle both time and space.
