Bridgeport, CT born, Nashville-based artist BODHI crafts a unique sound shaped by their experiences as a queer black artist. Growing up attending a predominantly white Christian private school, BODHI’s childhood was marked by feelings of isolation and a search for belonging. Music became BODHI’s solace, and they began crafting hypnotic melodies and transportive soundscapes paired with an otherworldly voice. Inspired by artists like Tracy Chapman, Sade, Hozier, Joy Oladokun, and Medium Build, BODHI’s music defies genre, resonating with raw emotion while offering a cathartic release for both artist and listener. After independently releasing a pair of EPs, BODHI signed with Nettwerk in early 2025 and later that year released their 8-track EP the garden awaits.
