ARK PATROL SHARES INFECTIOUS DANCE-POP BANGER “FOLN4U” WITH SEB

Today, alternative electronic artist and producer Ark Patrol teams up with indie pop/funk-RnB artist SEB for new track “FOLN4U.” The scintillating dance-pop single is the first taste of the Hawaii-born, LA-based artist’s upcoming EP E, which will be released via Nettwerk June 21. This marks the first time Ark Patrol & SEB have worked together on a track.

 With “FOLN4U,” Ark Patrol serves up a booming house beat, with a driving bass line, crispy drums and a pitched up vocal sample that cries out “fallin’, fallin,’ fallin’ for you.” SEB hits all the right pockets on the complex instrumental, with a mix of melodic rapping and anthemic chants on the chorus that calls to mind early 2010s Kid Cudi-David Guetta collaborations. Lyrically, SEB tries to up the ante on a situationship: “He ain’t even that cool / You just love the tattoos. I might self-delete / I want you to pick me.” “FOLN4U is about that in-between stage of a relationship,” says SEB, “that started as purely physical to then dealing with the emotional attachment that comes after. You’re actively fighting feelings of heartbreak from knowing this person will never commit but physically you can’t stop giving yourself to them.” Ark Patrol adds: “FOLN4U describes the exciting & edgy transition we all experience into adolescence, as we become aware of our changing bodies and depart from innocence. It’s ending points toward lifelong difficulty ahead of facing the reality of who we are becoming.” The E EP, which also features precocious, genre-bending artist Lecx Stacy, is act two of a larger body of work set to release later this year, following his March EP G. Mixing vocal tracks and instrumentals, the forthcoming project is a chronological narrative expressing sounds, emotions, and themes from childhood, through adolescence, and into young adulthood. Avenues of color, tempo, topic, human presence, and self-awareness slide past in an array of somatic representation. As Ark Patrol continues to embrace introspection and narrative with his new music, his catalog, which boasts over half a billion streams across DSPs, continues to resonate with fans and artists alike, namely his 2016 viral hit “Let Go” with Veronika Redd, which accounts for 200M+ of those streams.
