Angus & Julia Stone Launch North American Tour + Dreamy “Cellar Door” Video

November 16, 2017 BY Nettwerk

Aussie sibling duo Angus & Julia Stone premiered the new music video for the track “Cellar Door” from their latest enchanting album Snow with Nylon.com.  “Cellar Door,” which borrows its name from the film Donnie Darko, was born from the intensely personal experience of the siblings’ grandfather’s funeral and an afternoon with friends that followed. Angus tells Nylon, “I was laying around the pool with mates, drinking rum with dime bags. It’s cool how the video is kinda like a mirror of that experience—old comrades celebrating the fallen, and the good stuff that comes with heading into the golden hour at an old Irish pub.

This dreamy video follows their last visual stunner for the song “Chateau,” which was shot in Mexico City and featured Stranger Things‘ latest breakout star Dacre Montgomery. Watch it HERE.

Additionally, Angus & Julia just launched the North American leg of their international tour earlier this week in Boston, MA, which sees them playing to sold out rooms from coast to coast. This follows a completely sold-out run of their native Australia and their largest European/U.K. tour to date, as well as a good number of festivals. All tour dates are listed below.

The first notes of new album Snow are instantly transporting, beginning the next enchanting journey with the brother-sister duo. The album yet another confidant advance on a story which now accounts for over half a million album sales in Australia alone. The Sydney-born siblings produced and largely engineered it themselves, in Angus’s cottage studio, Belafonté, in the Byron Bay hinterland.

Since the duo began performing together in 2006, their story has unfolded with an almost magical magnetism that has galvanized the world. Their albums have amassed multi-platinum sales and numerous ARIA and APRA awards at home, and won a fanbase of millions over spiraling tours of the UK, Europe and North America. The band have each month over 5 million listeners who tune in, to stream their music from all over the world.  Lead single “Snow” already has over 1.2 million streams on Spotify alone.

Their quietly hypnotic songs have infiltrated film and TV from the recent Woody Harrelson film The Edge of 17 to TV shows like Pretty Little Liars, Suits & Revenge. They have cast their spell over the world’s key festivals: Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, Rock Werchter, Hurricane, Austin City Limits, Electric Picnic, Splendour In The Grass.
