Alt Singer Bryce Fox Releases Touching Single “Butterfly”

August 23, 2024 BY Emma Orland

Nashville alt-rock artist Bryce Fox releases his heartwarming new single “Butterfly,” the title track from his upcoming EP, out October 18. The song symbolizes the beauty of life after the moment he found out his wife was pregnant with their son. Listen HERE and watch the video containing intimate home footage of Fox’s family HERE.

“‘Butterfly’ is a ‘thank you’ song for my wife. I have yet to make a song specifically for her and was waiting on the right time and situation. When we found out she (we) were pregnant with our son Wilder, I was over the moon with joy and inspiration. This song had me thinking a lot about life in general and the parallels of creation all around you with people and nature. The butterfly has always fascinated me, and became the perfect symbolic gesture for my wife,” states Fox.

Produced by Aaron Chafin (X Ambassadors, Tofer Brown, The Brummies) and Mixed by Mark Needham (Killers, Imagine Dragons, Walk the Moon), The Butterfly EP delves into the fragility of life, creating Bryce Fox’s most vulnerable and mature release to date. The songs took shape around the birth of his son, resulting in a personal  metamorphosis and reflection of the joys and difficulties of raising a family during turbulent times. Listen to Fox’s previously released singles “Drip” and “Shadows” about defiance, hope, and joy, showcasing the themes off the forthcoming EP. Pre-save The Butterfly EP HERE.
