Australian alternative pop artist Chymes is kickstarting the next era of her musical journey with the release her new single “UFO”. Where Chymes’ 2023 EP Game Over leant into the edgy, dark side of her unique brand of pop songcrafting, “UFO” hints at something slightly different to come.

Speaking on the track, Chymes says, “I knew I wanted something that sounded a little weird, a little dark, but also kind of cute. The concept of this song is about knowing that others find you strange, knowing that you can rub people the wrong way, but also knowing what your strengths are. So, what if I’m odd? I’m in my own lane, doing my own thing, flying around in my UFO, and I’m making you look! It also touches on the feeling of people not totally taking you seriously, but when you start making moves, they suddenly want a piece of you.”
Known for her unique brand of pop, Chymes pulls you into her world with her delicate yet powerful vocals, intimate lyrics, and flirtatious persona.
With an ever-growing fan base across the globe following a tweet from BTS star Jungkook, Chymes has been streamed over 70+ million times worldwide. She has toured with artists such as Winston Surfshirt, The Preatures, Lastlings, Tigertown and many more. Her music has been featured in too many editorial DSP playlists to count, and her music has been featured on television series Good Trouble and Pretty Little Liars. She also recently spent five weeks in South Korea, writing songs for K-Pop heavyweights HYBE and SM Entertainment.
After a slew of fantastic live shows Chymes released her solo EP Hell & Divine in 2021, with sophomore EP Karma in 2022, and her Game Over EP in March 2023.
