HAEVN Announce Symphonic Tales II
January 16, 2026 BY Emma Orland
HAEVN, the compositional duo of Jorrit Kleijnen and Marijn van der Meer, today announce the ambitious and celebratory album Symphonic Tales II, a collection of orchestral reworks, alternate versions and collaborations from their illustrious and impressive catalogue spanning the last decade.
To mark the album announcement, the duo share “Till The Morning (Symphonic Version)” featuring Dutch folk singer-songwriter and rising star néomí. It reflects the collaborative and intimate spirit that defines this project and HAEVN generally.
Symphonic Tales II is both a celebration and a statement. Rooted in HAEVN’s long-standing connection to film music, the album presents their songs in their most expansive form to date. Recorded with a full symphonic orchestra, each composition is allowed to stretch, breathe, and resonate, while preserving the emotional core of the original material. It is cinematic, unhurried, and uncompromising.

In their own words, HAEVN explain “Symphonic Tales II is the realization of a long-held dream: to bring these songs to life with a full orchestra and capture them in their most expansive, cinematic form. We poured everything we had into this project, honouring the emotional core of each track while allowing the arrangements to grow into something larger than we could ever achieve alone.
“This album is a testament to trusting our artistic instincts, embracing risk, and finally hearing our music the way we always imagined it.
“In a time shaped by AI, automation, and increasing digital perfection, this album also stands as a reminder of something profoundly human: real people in a real room, breathing together, shaping sound in the moment. It’s a document of what we, as humans, have always done telling stories through instruments, emotion, and connection. Perhaps it can serve as a small echo for a new generation, showing what music can be when it’s created with nothing more than hearts, hands, and the courage to play.”
In a world that continues to accelerate, Symphonic Tales II consciously slows down. The album invites listening rather than consuming, positioning music not as background, but as a companion—one that grows alongside life’s moments and memories. Vulnerability, depth, and attention form a quiet counter-movement to haste and surface-level perfection.
In 2026, Dutch duo HAEVN mark ten years of following intuition over instruction. What began as a friendship between two creative counterpoints in Jorrit and Marijn has grown into one of the Netherlands’ most distinctive musical stories, built on patience, emotional depth, and quiet independence.
Throughout the past decade, HAEVN have remained true to their own pace and vision, filling iconic venues such as Paradiso, Carré, Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London, and Le Trianon in Paris—entirely on their own terms. Their music has crossed borders with ease, attracting a deeply loyal international audience that often forgets the duo’s Dutch roots.
At a time when automation and digital polish dominate much of the musical landscape, HAEVN deliberately choose the human. Real musicians, in a shared space, shaping sound together in real time. Symphonic Tales II reaffirms the value of individuality: a unique sound that cannot be copied.
The release culminates in HAEVN’s largest shows to date at AFAS Live in Amsterdam on February 6 and 8, 2026, featuring a full symphonic orchestra, gospel choir, and special guest appearances by néomí and Neco Novellas. More than concerts, these anniversary performances promise to be shared moments of resonance, memory, and meaning.
