January 5, 2026 BY Emma Orland

Today, UK alt rock band bôa releases the deluxe version of their acclaimed album Whiplash, featuring five reimagined versions of songs plus fan favorite “Twilight.” The band performed and captured these alternative versions live at their 2025 sold-out London show at 02 Forum. The release follows a whirlwind year of sold-out tour dates across North America, the UK, EU and South America, as well as debut festival appearances at Lollapalooza and Mexico City’s Corona Capital. bôa reemerged in 2023 when their 1998 cult favorite “Duvet” resurfaced on TikTok, sparking a new generation of fans and inspiring the band to reunite with a renewed sense of passion. Since then, bôa have gathered over 1 billion streams across their catalog, while “Duvet” was officially certified Platinum in North America, Gold in the UK, and Sapphire in Brazil. They released Whiplash in October 2024, receiving praise from Variety, OFFICE, Flood, Nylon, Clash, Brooklyn Vegan, and more. Produced by Chris Zane (Jack Antonoff, Passion Pit, St. Lucia), Whiplash is a melody-driven 13-song collection that references the band’s personal highs and lows and our collective cultural unrest. By tackling universal sentiments of pain, solitude, and triumph, Whiplash immediately transcends any generational divide, making bôa feel perpetually fresh.
