NEW ZEALAND COLLECTIVE LEISURE SHARE NEW SINGLE “LET IT ALL OUT” NEW ALBUM WELCOME TO THE MOOD OUT NOW

Following the release of their fifth studio album, Welcome To The Mood, in September and a sold-out world tour, Auckland’s soul-electronic collective LEISURE are back with a new single, “Let It All Out.” The band explains, “Playing ‘Let It All Out’ as a surprise inclusion to the current Welcome To The Mood Tour setlist has been a great addition to the collection of songs we play live, and has been a real highlight to see the audience fall into the groove immediately with it. We had lots of people getting in touch asking when it was coming out after hearing it at the shows, so that gave us an extra kick to make sure this one made it out of the never ending LEISURE-vault. It’s become one of our favourites to play live and we’re really excited to have it officially released.

They add, “With a focus on vocal melody and spacious sonic textures, the song lifts into a feeling of intrigue before it hits an ultimate energy release for a hugely celebratory and freeing chorus. The core lyrical message is one of unwavering support for someone you love and the journey you take together, but also acknowledging and celebrating that connection before it’s too late.”

The band are wrapping a European and North American tour in support of the new record that included performances at the Austin City Limits Festival, Corona Capital Festival, Terminal 5 (NYC), Vic Theater (Chicago), The Novo (LA),  Roadhouse (London), Bataclan (Paris), Huxley’s (Berlin), and more. They will close out the run this weekend with performances at Sala Apolo 2 in Barcelona and Sala Mon in Madrid. More info below.

On Welcome To The Mood, the band embraces a more organic, live-recording approach, expanding their sound by bringing in specialist musicians — string sections, brass, pianos, and backing vocalists — pushing the sonic possibilities beyond their individual skill sets. Yet at its core, the album remains deeply personal. Written in remote hideaways, the songs carry the tranquility of escape while capturing a newfound confidence in emotional vulnerability. Thematically, the albumis a rich sonic auditory tapestry woven with threads of authenticity, humanity, and creative celebration. Lyrically, the album explores universal experiences — love, loss, connection, hope, and purpose — drawn from the everyday yet rendered in LEISURE’s distinct palette of lush tones and laid-back groove. Tracks are anchored in realness but elevated by a sonic landscape that feels simultaneously nostalgic and futuristic, mirroring the ethos of Frank Lloyd Wright, whose Taliesin West provided literal and symbolic inspiration during the album’s visual journey. By choosing Taliesin West as a backdrop, LEISURE pays homage to Wright’s architectural genius and further establishes their vision that art, whether through architecture or sound, plays a vital role in enriching everyday life.
