German-Based Singer-Songwriter M. Byrd Releases Intimate New Album ‘A Better Place’ About Fatherhood

Today, German-based singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer M. Byrd releases his new album A Better Place via Nettwerk. The album reflects the joy and uncertainty as M. Byrd embraces the changes that come with becoming a father. Listen HERE.

“I think you can hear in the songs that some kind of liberation happened in me, and without this music, I wouldn’t have been able to observe myself during the biggest change in my life. We live in a world that is deeply paradoxical, and nowadays, it is just as paradoxical when a new life enters this planet, because the human species is the reason this planet is in so much trouble in the first place. But every birth and every moment is a chance to look within yourself, acknowledge that paradox, and find your peace with it in order to take the action we need to make this world… a better place,” reflects M. Byrd about the release. 

M. Byrd took the first step in his journey as a kid obsessed with music back in Germany. During 2020, he introduced his sound with the single “Mountain,” eclipsing 10.9 million Spotify streams and paving the way for the Orion EP. The latter boasted another fan favorite “Morning Sun,” which gathered 6.2 million Spotify streams. 2023 saw him serve up his first full-length LP, The Seed. Along the way, he incited tastemaker applause from EUPHORIA., 1883 Magazine, OnesToWatch, and more. Around the same time, the onset of fatherhood turned his world upside down in the best way. Enveloped by the moment, the German singer, songwriter transferred this energy onto his 2025 full-length offering, A Better Place. With the latest release, M. Byrd is sharing his most powerful and universally resonant record to date.
