MON ROVÎA RELEASES “FIELD SONG” OFF DEBUT ALBUM BLOODLINE, OUT JANUARY 9, 2026

October 20, 2025 BY Bailey Vigliaturo

Mon Rovîa has announced his debut album Bloodline, arriving January 9, 2026, a sweeping 16-track project that weaves together themes of memory, identity, grief, and resilience, rooted in his Liberian heritage and American journey. Both intimate memoir and collective testimony, the record explores legacies of war, loss, and migration while carrying forward stories of love and belonging. Featuring previous singles “Oh Wide World,” “Running Boy,” “Heavy Foot,” and “Whose face am i,” alongside standout new tracks, Bloodline establishes Mon as a striking new voice in contemporary folk and indie music. Leading into the album, Mon also shares his vibrant new single, “Field Song,” an upbeat, hard-earned anthem born from his years working as a landscaper across Georgia and Tennessee, where he hummed melodies under the punishing sun. Mon explains, “Before the songs were on stages, they were sweat-born. I used to do landscaping across Georgia and Tennessee, long days with nothing but the beating sun above me. My hands were calloused, my back sore, and the heat pressed in like it had something to prove. I’d hum melodies and write catchy ditties that helped alleviate the true state of my current circumstances, dreaming of a day I could work under the sun of my own choosing. This song is for the one still out there, clocked in, overlooked, but still holding on to their dream. May this song help pass the time.”

The release follows a milestone moment in Mon’s career: he makes history as the first-ever musical artist guest on The Mel Robbins Podcast, joining the renowned speaker and author for an in-depth conversation on art, activism, and resilience.

Mon also embarks on his sold-out ‘A Place To Gather’ North American Headline Tour this fall — his most expansive run to date. The tour brings his electrifying presence and message of healing to major cities and legendary venues across the U.S. and Canada, including Irving Plaza, First Avenue, Brooklyn Bowl Philly, and more.

Originally from Liberia and now rooted in Tennessee, Mon was named one of Spotify’s 2024 Juniper Artists to Watch. He sells out every headline show to date, performs on iconic stages including Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, Newport Folk Festival, and recently made his Grand Ole Opry debut. Following a sold-out European tour earlier this year and standout performances at Boston Calling and Red Rocks, Mon continues to redefine what modern folk can sound — and stand — for.

With his debut album Bloodline on the horizon, a historic podcast appearance, and an expansive fall tour, Mon Rovîa’s rise is just beginning.
