SoCal Latin Indie Rockers Inner Wave Share Full Band Jam “Push”

September 19, 2025 BY Emma Orland

Today, LA-based Latin indie band Inner Wave is excited to share their new single, “PUSH.” “PUSH” is a blissful, harmonically rich, rhythmic indie track filled with layered 12-stringed guitars, stacked keyboards, and playful vocal delivery. It’s the band’s second single of 2025, following “MADRE” in August, and will appear on their next full-length record, which is due in 2026.

PUSH is an ode to our formative years,” shares Pablo Sotelo, Inner Wave’s lead vocalist. “After years of touring [2021 album] Apoptosis, a generally more downtempo album, we wanted to speed things up a bit and reintroduce more aggression into our songs. [This was] written as a full-band jam and produced at The Swamp. We might’ve gone a little overboard with the layering sounds, but we love it and hope you do too.”

Los Angeles fans of Inner Wave can catch the band performing a special Sunday afternoon set on November 9 just outside the Lodge Room, with support from Brijean and Stolen Nova. The show will be their second in the area in 2025, following their Feb 1 performance at a benefit concert for victims of the LA fires (written about HERE  in the LA Times). ABOUT INNER WAVE

With a bright, experimental mix of psych-pop and synthwave, Inner Wave has racked up hundreds of millions of streams across hit songs like “American Spirits” and “Eclipse,” establishing a die-hard regional following. Formed in Gardena, CA, Inner Wave has had LA as the backdrop for many of its most meaningful performances. From 2017 to 2019, the band played all three editions of Tropicalia Festival (a bygone utopia for Latin indie heads) alongside the likes of Kali Uchis and The Marías, hit a high watermark when playing Coachella in 2022, and last year, opened for two of Chicano Batman’s farewell shows. Their most recent proper LA headliner took place last September at the Ford Amphitheatre, where they celebrated the 10th anniversary of their second album Sun Transmission.
