LUCA FOGALE VANCOUVER INDIE ANTHEM-FOLK ARTIST & 2X JUNO AWARD NOMINEE REAFFIRMS HIS NORTH STAR ON NEW TUNE “FOR”

September 2, 2025 BY Bailey Vigliaturo

Today, British Columbia singer-songwriter Luca Fogale unveilshis new single, the inspirational, guitar-heavy ballad “For.” Fittingly, the song is his fourth with Nettwerk, following “Begin” in April, “Ashes” in June and “Lost Without You” in July.

“I wrote For throughout the course of a few seasons of my life,” shares Luca, “so while this is at once a song simply about trying to serve what is most important in this life, the narrator (a version of myself) is grappling with understanding the finiteness of time, while desperately wanting to preserve an imagined perfect future, compelled by all of the tenets in the refrain; those which he believes to be most valuable. ‘For honour. For family.’”

He continues: “This version of myself tries to be tireless, resolute, unbreakable, unknowing that he will fail, as he is only human. I recognize inside myself the desire to strive, to achieve, to provide, and in turn I notice how hard I fall when I lose touch with humility and self-acceptance. The narrator is in a race against time and against vulnerability.”

“For” is set to appear on Luca’s next LP [more details to come], which promises more edge than its two JUNO Award-nominated predecessors—Run Where The Light Calls (2023) and Nothing is Lost (2020). While the project grapples with troubling generational patterns, apathy, masculine ideals and social tumult, Luca is careful not to extinguish hope entirely. “There’s lots to be cynical about in this world,” he shares of the LP. “I want to oscillate to the other side of that.”

A prolific touring artist known for eliciting emotional reactions from fans with warm, gentle vocals and raw, vulnerable lyrics, Luca has spent ample time on the road in 2025, already completing headline tours in North America and Europe. This Sunday, he’ll kick off a quick run as direct support for Hollow Coves on the Pacific leg of their North American tour, playing a total of six shows. Across a career spanning over a decade, Luca has shared stages with the likes of Dermot Kennedy, 7X JUNO winner Serena Ryder and Frazey Ford, and has amassed over 180 million streams across his three studio albums.
