WILD RIVERS SHARE REWORK OF “ANYWAYS, I LOVE YOU ” FEATURING R&B SINGER ALLEN STONE

August 25, 2025 BY Bailey Vigliaturo

Today, platinum-selling indie trio Wild Rivers unveil a fresh take on their fan-favorite track Anyways, I Love You, this time featuring acclaimed R&B/soul vocalist Allen Stone. Originally released as a single ahead of their July 2024 album Never Better, the song now takes on a new dimension with Stone’s signature soulful touch. This collaboration follows recent reimagined versions by Grammy-nominated artist Madi Diaz and rising country talent Laci Kaye Booth, both drawn from the band’s October 2024 companion album Better Now.

When asked about the collaboration with Stone, the band explained, “When we were making ‘Anyways, I Love You’ we tried to channel our version of a 70’s soul band. It was so fun to record and sing and it instantly became a band favourite. When we started scheming up featured artists, we were thinking of the great modern soul singers, and Allen Stone inevitably came to mind. The minute we heard his voice on the song we were floored… his voice is truly incredible, and it fit perfectly with the song. The fact that he’s a fantastic guy and has become a pal is the cherry on top. We feel super lucky to have had the chance to collaborate with him like this.”

Wild Rivers wrapped a jam-packed summer on the road with standout performances across North America. The band made their debut at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre supporting Quinn XCII, delivered three electrifying sets at Lollapalooza — including a coveted main stage slot — and joined The Head and the Heart on tour, with a highlight performance at SummerStage in New York’s Central Park. Next, Wild Rivers head south to Texas for Austin City Limits.

Last year, Wild Rivers, Khalid Yassein [guitar, vocals, keys], Devan Glover [vocals], and Andrew Oliver [lead guitar, synths] released their companion albums, Never Better and Better Now, which were co-produced by the band and Gabe Wax (Soccer Mommy, Adrienne Lenker). The recordsdive into the complicated, confusing, and unknown realities of life in their twenties and the personal growth they’ve found through it all. They were released to critical acclaim, including praise from the Associated Press, Consequence, Rolling Stone, and CBS Saturday. Last week, Never Better was nominated for a 2025 JUNO Award for Adult Alternative Album Of The Year. It is their second nomination and follows Breakthrough Group of The Year at the 2023 JUNO Awards.
Wild Rivers have a gift for penning introspective lyrics and genre-fluid melodies that transmit wisdom beyond their years. Since their 2022 album, Sidelines, which landed at #9 on the U.S. Spotify Debut Album Chart, they have supported The Chicks and Noah Kahan on tour, seen their 2020 break-out single “Thinking ‘Bout Love” be certified Gold in the United States and Platinum in Canada and Australia, sold-out headline North American and European tours, and earned over 1 billion streams.

Stay tuned for more to come from Wild Rivers.
