Flyte Announces New Album + North American Headline Tour; New Single out now!

Beloved UK band Flyte is proud to announce Between You and Me, the follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2023 self-titled album. For this ten-song effort, Will Taylor and Nick Hill worked with the BRIT Award-winning producer Ethan Johns (Paul McCartney, Laura Marling) to bring their vision to life. Today, FLOOD premiered “Hurt People,” the latest glimpse into the warm, homespun sound they weaved together, and it also serves as the album’s opener. It embodies the experiences of those who go through the twelve-step program to overcome their substance abuse and addiction. Flyte finds a way to bridge the intimate details with the cinematic, emotional weight of the moment.

The band explains: “We wanted to write a song entirely set in a twelve-step meeting and make it a celebration of people healing. Those gatherings are often in large multi-purpose spaces, and we love how Ethan evoked that by making the recording of the performance sound so spacious and cinematic, the drums were played outside in the stairwell while we played along inside a more contained part of the studio, which created an instant depth.”

“Hurt People” follows their gorgeous love letter to LA on “Emily and Me” and “I’m Not There” which will appear on the new record, due out on August 29th via Nettwerk.  

Flyte are also excited to announce new 2025 tour dates across North America, the UK, and Europe! They’ll kick things off on September 10th  at Concorde 2 in Brighton and conclude a the O2 Kentish Town Forum in London on September 26th. From there, Will and Nick will make a grand return to North America, playing their largest venues in the territory to date. They’ll begin on October 6th in Vancouver, BC, traveling through the Lodge Room in Los Angeles on October 11th, the Music Hall of Williamsburg in New York on October 29th, and concluding at Turf Club in Minneapolis on November 6th. From there, they will return to Europe, with routing through Switzerland, Germany, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, and France.
