Alt-Rocker Bryce Fox Delivers Themes of Defiance, Hope and Joy on ‘The Butterfly and the Bomb’ Out 3/21

February 14, 2025 BY Emma Orland

Today, Nashville alt-rock artist Bryce Fox is proud to announce his new full-length album, The Butterfly and the Bomb, out March 21st via NettwerkProduced by David Pramik (Oliver Tree, Machine Gun Kelly, I Prevail), Aaron Chafin (X Ambassadors, Tofer Brown, The Brummies) and Boonn (grandson, Mike Shinoda) and mixed by Neal Avron (Linkin Park, Fall Out Boy, Twenty One Pilots) and Mark Needham (Killers, Imagine Dragons, Walk the Moon), the album strikes a defiant but hopeful tone, combining his most recent EP’s The Butterfly, symbolizing his child, and The Bomb, referencing threats to his family, in his most personal and evolutionary body of work to date. To celebrate the announcement, Fox releases his energetic new single, “Psychopath.” Pre-save the album HERE and listen to “Psychopath” HERE.

“This album is a great combination of feelings and experiences that I’ve had entering this new phase of my life. Overall the songs are filled with anger, passion, and appreciation. The new topics were daunting to write and share, but I couldn’t be happier with the message and the urgency I think it conveys,” reflects Fox.

Fox packs a punch with the high-energy “Psychopath,” stating, “This song is more of an energy song than a deep introspective song. Me and my collaborators were essentially celebrating finishing the album and wanted to throw up one last prayer of a song to see if it stuck. Our overly productive album work week had us feeling loopy, drunk, and perhaps a little high and psychotic, à la ‘Psychopath’.”

Next month, Bryce Fox will be hitting the stage with AWOLNATION on The Phantom Five Tour. Catch Fox performing his new music live for the first time starting March 27th in San Diego and wrapping May 10th in Los Angeles. If cutting-edge pop music in America is a melting pot of styles, genres, and influences, then the Nashville-based alt-rock artist Bryce Fox has one hand firmly on the stirring stick. By harnessing a mix of inspirations and diverse sonic pathways while embracing the regional touchstones and personal details of his own melting-pot All-American story, Bryce Fox has arrived in a major way. With two previous albums under his belt, Fox has received millions of streams, including an RIAA Gold-certified record with “Horns” off Heaven on Hold (2017), and radio support from stations such as KCRW, KROQ, KTCL and more. He has also gone on to perform with the likes of Matt Maeson, Charlotte Cardin, Frenship and has received press support from NYLON, Billboard, and Earmilk. Topping it off, his music has been featured in many film, tv and commercial campaigns including Disney, Netflix, NBC, HBO, WWE, UFC, Fox Sports, ESPN and more.
